From October 1 to 5, 2018, the 83rd meeting of ISO/TC39/SC2 "International Organization for Standardization/Technical Committee on Machine Tools/Sub-Technical Committee on Inspection Conditions of Metal Cutting Machine Tools" was held at the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce in Austria.

The meeting discussed the ISO/DIS 10791-7 "Machining Center Inspection Conditions Part 7: Precision of Finished Test Pieces" proposed and revised by China, and the "S-shaped" test pieces were included in the appendix. In the end, the meeting representatives unanimously agreed that ISO/DIS 10791-7 "Inspection Conditions for Machining Centers Part 7: Precision of Finished Test Pieces" will enter the FDIS (Final Draft International Standard) stage.

The accuracy detection and performance evaluation of five-axis linkage high-end CNC machine tools are recognized as global problems. Driven by the National Metal Cutting Machine Tool Standardization Technical Committee, the "S-shaped" test specimen for five-axis linkage machining machine tool working accuracy inspection was proposed and approved in 2012. It has been 6 years since then, and has been questioned, modified, and postponed. Until this meeting officially enters the FDIS stage, it means that all technical details of China's proposal have been discussed and the "S-shaped" specimen processing accuracy inspection will soon enter the international standard sequence.
By participating in international conferences, my country's research and application results in the field of high-end CNC machine tools have been demonstrated, which has been recognized by more and more foreign experts in the same field, and a long-term working communication channel has been established. In the International Organization for Standardization, the rights and obligations of a P member country are fulfilled and exercised.
